Reminder: This document is intended for controllers on the VATSIM network and is therefore strictly reserved for simulation purposes.
Effective coordination between controllers is essential to maintaining a safe, orderly, and efficient flow of traffic. This guide explains the coordination principles and procedures to be followed when transferring traffic, exchanging information, and managing responsibilities between adjacent positions.
The guide is divided into three main sections:
- Controller Coordination Policy — defines the responsibilities, requirements, and standards applicable to controller coordination.
- Coordination Guide — provides practical instructions on when, how, and with whom coordination should be carried out.
- VACS Software Guide — explains how to use the VACS coordination tools to exchange and manage coordination information.
