¶ vSMR (Virtual Surface Movement Radar)
Reminder: This documentation is intended for controllers on the VATSIM network and is strictly reserved for simulation purposes.
vSMR (Virtual Surface Movement Radar) helps controllers manage airport ground traffic and issue pre-departure clearances through a detailed surface radar display.
This documentation is divided into two sections:
- Ground Radar — explains the radar display, aircraft labels, airport layouts, symbols, and tools used to monitor surface traffic.
- Pre-Departure Clearance (PDC) — explains how to prepare, send, and manage digital departure clearances.
